About the Role
Our award-winning culinary team, led by our Executive Chef, are the hub of our business and have a new opportunity for a Kitchen Porter Manager to join them. You will be responsible for all of our kitchen porters ensuring all back of house areas are kept clean and tidy and maintain kitchen hygiene standards.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Responsibility for all aspects of personnel management, including probationary reviews, performance appraisals, one-to-one appraisals and on the job coaching.
  • Ensure continuous on the job training on areas such as HACCP, COSHH, Manual Handling , Fire Safety and comply with hazardous chemical and training programs.
  • Provide a clear career path for advancement including on and off the job training opportunities for associates and Personal Development Planning.
  • Reward and recognise high performance to maintain staff morale and high standards of performance and/or commitment to our HOME of Great Service Culture.
  • Manage team rota's and scheduling Kitchen Porters for each of the kitchens based on forecasted business levels posting and attesting all shifts accurately
  • Create and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules for all kitchen areas and equipment, arranging daily briefings and handovers to ensure all essential cleaning duties are carried out.
  • Maintain inventory in all kitchens of kitchen equipment including but not limited to cleaning supplies, detergents, crockery, glassware and equipment stores.
  • Develop an ongoing waste management programme to ensure optimal levels of recycling within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure standards of work and a safe and respectful working environment are maintained in line with our HOME values.
  • Utilise our time and attendance system to schedule Kitchen Porters for each of the kitchens based on forecasted business levels.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous People Management experience.
  • Experience in a Kitchen Porter / Stewarding role within a similar environment.
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of HACCP and COSHH.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate

Hours
Permanent, Full Time 40hrs over 5 days per week

Salary
£32,637.54 per annum
Overtime available as per the needs of the business paid at £15.69 per hour.
