Supplier Quality Engineer 

Location:  Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Are you a recent graduate with an engineering degree looking to put their creative problem-solving and continuous improvement skill set to use? If so, consider applying to our open Supplier Quality Project Engineer position.

The Supplier Quality Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring suppliers’ processes are under control and for delivering required quantities of conforming product to downstream customers. Continuous Improvement and warranty reduction are additional ongoing responsibilities.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline from an ABET-accredited university.

  • 0-3 years of work-related experience in a supplier-quality or manufacturing environment with demonstrated results is desirable.

  • Experience successfully leading teams is desirable.

  • Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) preferred. 

  • Excellent planning skills, great problem-solving ability, strong oral and written communication skills, competence in inspection techniques, and strong computer skills are all needed.

  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification desirable.

  • Project-planning skills, quality planning, process evaluation, and design-critique capabilities are important. 

  • Ability to explore, define, and prioritize opportunities for improving design or manufacturability of processes is key.

  • Must be able to use metrics, set meaningful goals, and demonstrate the ability to positively impact the objectives set for them.

  • Must be able to travel to supplier facilities as required to support on-site activities (can be up to 40%).
