Channel Analyst - Portland, OR 

Location:  Portland, OR

Under the direction of the VP – Merchandising and Marketing, the Channel Analyst contributes to Ann Sacks success by using analytical skills to optimize business growth, brand impact and customer engagement across digital and physical channels.  By applying strong experience in data analytics, responsible for influencing decisions that will change the way we do business.


The Channel Analyst will serve as the primary source for digital insights and testing—consulting and collaborating with internal clients on how best to achieve their learning objectives. Focus will be on using data to identify customer behaviors and business performance indicators as well as formulating and validating hypotheses to inform Ann Sacks channel strategy.



  1. Design and enhance digital metrics reporting, analysis and recommendations—drive analytics evolution through new measurement approaches, data source connectivity and technological advancement

  2. Contribute to automation and integration of digital asset management into a system that ensures data completeness and integrity

  3. Support development of a comprehensive framework for decision making across multiple business channels—ensuring a unified approach to customer experience

  4. Monitor and report on E-commerce industry best practices, adapting key learnings to annsacks.com

  5. Utilize advanced analytics to develop actionable insights that optimize omnichannel experience—to include but not limited to increased speed and reduced costs

  6. Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across all dashboards, metrics, reporting and analysis. Document methodology, definitions and implementations of same

  7. Execute ad hoc analysis and synthesize inputs for inclusion in formal leadership presentations as required

  8. Participate as channel analytics subject matter expert in cross-functional team forums dedicated to continuous improvement of business process or go to market discipline



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics or related field required

  • MBA/MS preferred 


  • Three to five years of experience in a multi-channel environment with a focus on web analytics

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel required

  • Hands-on capability with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics (Omniture) or Google Analytics and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau) strongly preferred

  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies and best practices also preferred


  • Positive, proactive self-starter with an ability to drive multiple projects to successful and timely completion while ensuring accuracy and integrity of outputs

  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to effectively break business questions into key components, identify appropriate data sources and methodology for analysis and translate findings into actionable insights

  • Solid understanding of statistics and data visualization methods and the ability to practically apply them in a business setting

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation delivery and active listening capabilities

  • Strong organizational and planning skills, ability to prioritize effectively, manage time well and balance short and long term deliverables
